Life After the Wars

Kassidy ran through the corridors, desperately trying to make it to class on time. Her robes were flying behind her, making a flapping noise. Her long dirty-blonde hair was getting tangled. She barely managed to keep a hold on her book bag.

Suddenly, she tripped and flipped over onto her back. She couldn't breath. A blonde-hair boy towered over her.

"Hello Kassidy. Perhaps you shouldn't be running like that." He was smirking at her as she gasped for breath.

You tripped me The words filled his head and Draco looked astonished.

"You can speak in my head?" He muttered, "After effects of being there with Potter?" Kassidy nodded and then groaned. Draco sighed and helped her up. He rubbed her back gently.

"I'm very late to class, Mr. Malfoy." She said as soon as she regained her breath. Her voice intoxicated him, causing him to take a moment to reply.

"Which I can see. If you're heading to Professor Snape's class, it'd be better if you just didn't go. Seeing as I am skipping, why don't you just go with me?" Draco suggested. He looked into her bright blue eyes and smiled charmingly. He was a Malfoy . Charm was their greatest form of weaponry, after all.

She sighed. Although she very much wanted to go with Draco, she knew that her half-brother, Harry Potter, would be freaking out. Finally she grinned and nodded at Draco.

Harry Potter sighed, for the fourth time, as he glanced at his watch again. His watch was a smaller version of the grandfather clock that Mrs. Weasley owned. There were three names on his watch, one of which was Kassidy's. Her hand pointed at 'Fun'.

"What possible kind of fun could she be having?" He hissed at Ron Weasley, "She's supposed to be in class.."

Ron rolled his eyes, "Harry, chill, what's the worst that could happen? She's just as powerful as you and much less naive." Ron chuckled slightly at the end of his sentence.

"So where are we going?" Kassidy asked. She was new to Hogwarts.

"Sorry sorry sorry." Milania muttered as she rushed into class late. Her long dark hair was disheveled and a cup of coffee was in her hand. Harry smiled slightly. He found her very interesting.

Draco shrugged, "I don't know yet."

"Oooo. Mystery man?" She laughed and wrapped one of her hands around his right arm.

Draco laughed, "Yes. And don't hold on to me. You make me nervous." He was surprised at his honesty.

Snape stared at her and then shrugged. She was one of his favorites.

"What the hell! You wouldn't let me get away with that!" Ron snapped under his breath.

"Why do I make you nervous?" She asked.

"Quiet, Ron." Snape snapped and continued with his lesson.

Draco smiled shyly, "Because you're a hero. And you're Snape's daughter."

"I'm no hero. I just helped my brother." She muttered as she ran a hand through her hair. She still didn't let go of his arm though.

Milania smirked at him and waved at Harry as she went to sit down.

"Okay. Be modest." Draco laughed slightly.

Milania thought Harry was cute and brave but never thought much of it. He was the boy almost everyone wanted. Harry scribbled a note and passed it back to her. It read, "Help me study for potions tonight?"

"I was just there for my brother." She sighed. She ran her hand down his arm until she reached his hand, "Can I hold your hand?" She smiled as he turned and looked at her.

She caught his eye and nodded.

"Uh sure." He was mildly surprised by how forward she was but he liked it.

Then Snape snatched the note. "Looks like you need a little help with your homework, Potter." He laughed.

"It's not a relationship, Malfoy. It's your hand." She smirked as they entered the Forbidden Forrest/

Draco laughed, "I just can't believe that Harry Potter's Slytherin sister, wants to hold my hand."

"I like that you joke with me. Most people won't even look at me without wanting me for fame." She said softly.

Draco smiled slightly, "Well that's silly. I enjoy your company."

"At least you picked the right student to pass a note to." Snape smirked slightly at Milania.

Draco sighed slightly.His plan was already working much better than he had figured. Snape had simply given him the ideas.

"Sooooo....." She said softly as they walked.

She smiled up at Snape. Sometimes is was good to be best friends with a professor's daughter, not to mention his favorite student.

"I just want to know more about you. Favorite color?" Draco asked.

"Less passing notes in class and maybe you won't need help." Snape laughed and went back to teaching.

"Red." She smiled. As Draco watched, her eyes darted forward and suddenly her wand was in her hand, pointing ahead of them. A centaur galloped out. When it saw her, it bowed down and she placed her wand back in her pocket, "That's the perks of being with me. I freak out over every noise now."

Draco was astonished, "I didn't...even hear that."

Harry glared at Snape and then looked down at his piece of parchment where words were forming. or perhaps a better mean of passing notes. It was in Miliana's handwriting.

"I have excellent hearing." She laughed slightly.

Harry smiled slightly. Ron's eyes widened when he looked over, "That's so cool." He whispered very very quietly.

Draco smiled as they finally reached the treehouse. After he said his password, a stairway unraveled all the way to the ground. She looked at him in amazement now.

"This is wonderful. That tree is like like a mile high." She muttred, "Amazing."

"You haven'teven been inside yet."

You have to teach me that. Harry wrote back to Milania.

She smiled, "Didn't even know this was here."

I will tonight She wrote back.

Draco smirked as they started up the stairs, "Yes. I made sure of that."

Harry flashed her a smile just as Snape grabbed his paper. Harry felt a moment of panic and was relieved to see that the writing has disappeared when Snape picked it up.

She looked around as they walked up, "This is very cool."

Snape smirked slightly and put it back down. "Alright class that's enough for today. You're dismissed."

Draco smiled to himself. After a few minutes, they finally made it to the top. She just looked around in amazement.

The two walked out of the room together to discuss when they would study.

"Like it?" He asked.

They'd meet in the Gryfindor common room at 8.

"So is that a date?" Ron asked as they walked away.

Kassidy grinned, "Love it! Can I come here whenever I want now?"

Draco nodded and flicked his wand. Music started playing. Kassidy smirked and walked around. The treehouse was a fully functioning house.

Harry laughed, "Sorta."

Draco smiled to himself. "Pretty great, right?"

"Hmm..." Ron muttered and laughed slightly, "Maybe I should start doing poorly in potions..."

"You already are!" Harry laughed.

The two sat around for a long time and just talked about everything. Kass told him things she never told anything. She even got emotional talking about the wars.

Draco listened and grazed her hand slightly with his.

"I'm starved. Let's get dinner." Harry said.

The two of them nded up falling asleep.
