"Don't freak out." Was the first thing Jay said to his daughter when he saw her.

Jo closed her anatomy book, "what happened to Jeff?"

"He's fine. Probably just burns and a broken leg." Jo sighed and grabbed her purse. She caught the death glare Milo was giving Casey and frowned.

"I'm going to get washed up." Hannah mumbled and headed to the showers.

Milo and Chief Jay went with Jo.

Hannah enjoyed a shower in peace.

;o was glad that they'd taken Jeff to the hospital she interned at.

"Oh finally!" Jeff said when he saw her enter the exam room. Jo asked the nurse, a good friend, for the chart.

"You sprained your ankle? That's it. Thank God." She muttered before she went and embraced him.

"I'm fine babe." Jeff smiled and hugged her.

Jo smiled and kissed him, "You have to be careful. I cannot live without you."

Jeff chuckled, "You would be fine."

"No." Jo said firmly but sweetly.

Jeff smiled, "I love you. Where is Mi?"

"He's in the waiting room. I'll go get him." Jo smiled, kissed him again, and went to get Milo. "Hey, Jeff wants to see you. It's just a sprain. He should be out of here once they're done with the paperwork." Jo told him.

Milo smiled at Jeff, "I was so worried man..."

"I know." He smiled slightly, "But it's nothing big. We do need to address why I got stuck alone though. What the hell was that?!"

"That fucking jerkoff was just standing in the hallway. Chief took care of it." Milo responded.

Jeff nodded as a nurse came in.

"Sir, you're free to go."

One month later...


Jeff woke up from a deep sleep, startled from a bad dream.

"What?" Jo muttered as she curled closer around him.

"Bad dream." He replied as he kissed her forehead.

"What happened in this one?"

"I was under the ceiling again...only this time no one came for me." Jeff sighed.

Jo kissed his cheek and hugged him.

"Another shot?" Milo asked Hannah. They were out drinking.

"Sure." She smiled. They had gone out with some other firefighters but everyone else had left by now.

As soon as she fell asleep, Jeff climbed out of bed.

They laughed and took another shot.

He stared on out the window for a while.

Milo stumbled a little and laughed.

He jumped a little when Jo wrapped her arms around him.

"Jeff, you could always retire really early. I'll be a doctor in a few years.l she said as she kissed his shoulder.

They got in a taxi and Milo gave his address.

"I know. I like it though..." He sighed.

When they got into his apartment, "Just one more drink..." Hannah mumbled. But before she knew it, she was against the wall, Milo kissing her.

"Well, baby, you can't have nightmares every night." Jo frowned.

She started to push him away but then yanked him back against her

"I know." He hugged her.

Milo smiled to himself and worked them towards the bedroom.

Jeff turned around and pulled her close. She was hardly dressed, "I need you." He breathed as he buried his head into her shoulder.

Somehow, they managed to get undressed.

She held him tighter than ever.

They both knew it probably wasn't the smartest idea but they had hot sex all night.
