Engine 59 <3

Jordan walked into the firehouse of engine 59 and headed towards the kitchen.

"Hey Jordan!" Hannah, Jordan's sister and a firefighter, grinned as she saw her sister walk in. Jordan nodded and set her book bag and purse on the table.

"Hey Jo." Chief Jay said in greeting to his daughter.

Jordan grinned at her father, "Daddy, how was your day?"

The family conversed for about thirty minutes until they were interrupted by the male fiefighters entering the room.

"Her tits were HUGE." Milo said as he walked into the room, talking about a girl he had slept with the night before, completely unaware that the family was in the kitchen. He turned red when he looked around. "Chief..girls.." He nodded.

Jeff grinned as he saw his girlfriend. He walked over and kissed Jo's cheek.

"Get a room!!!" The chief laughed, causing all of the guys to laugh. Milo looked at Hanna and tried to communicate with his eyes.

"Well, baby, whatcha cooking us? Or do we have to rely on Jeff's culinary skills?" Jay teased as he looked at his daughters.

The girls stared at each other for a moment before they "rock, paper,scissor"ed for who was cooking.

Hannah won but said, "I'll help as long as we don't get a call." She was on the clock.

Jo smiled, "I'll cook. But I'm making pancakes and I don't wanna hear any bitching!!"

"Sounds delicious!" Jeff said.

"Hey Han.." Milo said while she was opening the fridge.

"How are you?" She asked searching for something.

"Alright. Hungover." Milo shrugged, stealing a glance at her butt.

"Here." Hannah threw him a gatorade, grabbed herself a water bottle and shut the fridge.

The food was quickly thrown together and everyone sat down to eat. Chief Jay said a prayer and they all began eating.

Suddenly, the alarms sounded. Everyone groaned as they stood up. Jeff stole a quick kiss before he went to change into his turnouts.

Milo glanced at Hannah as she threw her stuff on.

"Can't you focus for one second?" She mumbled for hopping on and grabbing her seat.

Jeff looked at his best friend and raised an eyebrow. Milo shook his head and Jeff rolled his eyes.

"Apartment fire, someone left the stove on, started on the fifth floor, the corner apartment." The chief yelled as they arrived at the scene.

Hannah and Milo teamed up and went up. Jeff and another firefighter we close behind.

"I hear something in there." Hannah said to Milo, pointing to an apartment. She went to try and bust the door but Milo moved her out of the way and did it himself. She rolled her eyes but headed in with him.

Hannah easily spotted the source of the noise, a little girl.

Jeff walked past the apartment Milo and Hannah had entered and went to the next apartment to make sure no one was in it.

It was very smokey but Jeff began to search around.

"I've got you sweetheart." Hannah said as she picked up the girl.

Jeff heard a loud crack and looked up to see the ceiling falling in.

Milo glanced sharply toward the noise, "what was that? Get the kid out!" Milo shouted as he ran out the door. He met the firefighter who was supposed to be with Jeff in the hallway, "where is he?!"

Hannah ran out coughing and handed the little girl to an EMT.

The firefighter pointed to the apartment and Milo ran in.

She was about to run back in when her father stopped her. Over the radios, Milo called "jeff's buried! Help please!"

All the guys and Hannah ran into the help their friend. Slowly they start lifted the ceilings pieces off Jeff.

Miloknealt by Jeff and checked to see if he was okay.

Jeff groaned, "I'm okay. Maybe my leg." Milo helped him up and Hannah took the other side. Jeff limped out with their help and was put into an ambulance.

Milo turned to the firefighter who was supposed to be with Jeff, "what were you thinking!" He shouted. Chief jay intervened.

"Milo, go over there." He shouted. Milo went to speech, "NOW!"

Milo walked over to Hannah, and let Chief deal with it.

Milo was close to tears. He was a man that hardly ever showed that sort of emotion but seeing your best friend in a possibly tragic situation does that to a man.

"Hey, he's fine." Hannah said as she wrapped him in a hug.

"Yeah. I know." He said after a moment and shrugged her off. "How's the little girl?"

"She inhaled quite a bit of smoke but the EMTs say she'll be fine." Hannah smiled.

Milo looked at Hannah, "thanks."

"You're welcome." Hannah said, "Want to grab a beer after shift?"

Milo nodded and gave her a place and time.

The crew headed back to the house to get Jo and head to the hospital.
