"See you around." Rose said, awkwardly as he helped her climb into the window.

Emilie glared at him, "You're making them wait so they'll think we're having sex?" Tavington laughed.

"Absolutley not. I don't feel like planning for battle right now. So, I'm using you as an excuse. I'm tired and I'm going to bed. You can sleep next to me or you can make your own pallet." Tavington got comfortable and was actually surprised when Emilie did join him. He heard her softly whispering to her child.

Gabriel would've tipped his hat if he had one on but seeing as he didn't he slowly walked away.

He smiled slightly. He could get used to this.

Rose slipped into bed and feel asleep thinking of Gabriel and she didn't know why.

When Emilie woke the next morning, Tavington was no where to be seen. Frowning she looked around, she was quite hungry and she her child would be too. She couldn't help but smile when she saw that Tavington had left her food. There was also a note:

Emilie,

I've gone to plan our battle strategy. I thought that perhaps you and I could go into town later. We will take your child with us.

Rose woke as she heard her Grandmother walking up the stairs.

Emilie smiled as she dressed and feed her child.

"Where were you last night?" Her grandmother demanded to know.

Tavington returned after a few hours.

"I was out." She replied.

"Hello." Emilie greeted him.

A few hours later after Rose dealt with her infuriated grandmother she walked into town.

He flashed her a smile and took a seat.

She was slightly surprised to see Gabriel again.

Her son cooed in the background.

"Hello." He smiled and tipped his hat.

"He is rather fetching." Tavington said as he cut a pice off of a loaf of bread and got a piece of cheese to go with it.

She smiled, "Hello...uhm, sorry about last night."

"Thank you." Emilie smiled.

"Don't worry about it. Nothing to apologize for." Gabriel laughed.

"Well, I was a little inapproiate." Rose laughed, "Then again I'm a little inapproiate."

Gabriel laughed, "I like you."

"So, Will, uhm, could you possibly buy a bed for my son. Not steal it though."

"I like you too." Rose blushed a little.

"We can do that this afternoon." Will smiled.

Gabriel smiled and kissed her hand.

She sighed in relief.

"Can I see you tonight?" He asked.

"Come lets go to town now." He offered.

Rose smiled at him, "Yes."

"Yes, let's." She said softly. William held out a hand to her and surprisingly she took it. He tucked her hand into the crook of his arm and led her outside to where a carriage was waiting.

"Gabriel, why are you talking to my sister?" Tyler, Rose's older brother approached.

"Oh relax." Rose laughed.

She was nervous she would eventually love this man.

Tyler wrapped his arm around his sister's shoulders.

William and Emilie had a pleasent afternoon shopping.

"So how do you know my little sister?" He asked Gabriel.

Gabriel smiled pleasently, "I met her just the other night."

"You shouldn't be walking around at night by yourself." Tyler said protectively.

"But I wasn't really by myself since I met Gabriel." Rose smiled.

"That's not much better." He grumbled but chuckled at the same time.

"Do you like this one?" He pointed to a small bed.

Rose laughed, "I happen to disagree."

"You disagree with every thing I say, dear sister." He smiled as he kissed her cheek.

Emilie frowned and took his arm, "Yes I do...Please stop being so kind to me...It makes it hard for me to hate you. I asked about a bed in the first place because I wanted you to say no...I can't like you."

Rose laughed, "That's true."

Tyler looked at them, "All right I'll leave you be but Gabriel you better take good care of my sister! If I find you sneaking out her window at night I'll kill you." He laughed.

Will sighed, "I don't plain on being any crueler so may have to get better at trying not to like me."
