Jon put his arm around her as they headed to the car, "Where would you like to eat now?" He was still a little pissed.

"It's SO long." Caden sighed. Then she screamed as a truck ran a red light and right into them.

Caden kept hearing screams and moans as they came to a stop. It took her a minute to realize that Jon was screaming in pain. She was fading in and out of conciousness. Suddenly she realized that he had stopped screaming, "Jon..." She whispered.

The next thing she knew she woke up in the hospital.

"She's waking up!" Shae exclaimed. Tamara glanced over and tried to smile. Jon was in the ICU after two weeks. He was only allowed minimal contact, hence the reason Tams was with her best friend.

Shae quickly glanced at Tamara but was dumbfounded. Tamara wiped a tear off her face.

"He's not doing so well, sweetheart. Once you are allowed, you can get up and we'll go see him." Tamara took one of Caden's hand.

"He's fine, baby." Shae smiled slightly.

"A truck blew a red light. You have two broken ribs." Shae explained slowly.

Tamara frowned and looked at her friend. Shae nodded and Tamara said, "He was thrown from the car. He fractured his skull. Among a lot of other things."
