Sara stared at her, "what?"

"Either take him or he goes to the damn orphanage. His name is Erick."

The poor child didnt look upset when his mother said, "meet your daddy and new momma."

"Now you look sad like Momma." Lilah sighed.

"What dear?" He asked as he carried her, walking across the property to the station.

"Momma is always sad. She cries and cries." Lilah whispered, "she's not good at hiding it."

Sara being the good Christian woman she is picked up the child, "Come here love. Jack, I will leave you to handle the rest of this." She brought the young boy inside

Forrest sighed, "i am so sorry baby."

Sara sat the boy down at the table and made him a plate. He wolfed it down and she wondered whrn he had last eaten.

Jack walked back in, "i am sorry, Sara" he muttered.

"Later." She snapped before giving the boy more food.

"Can I stay with you tonight?" She asked as they approached the station. "You never sleep with us anymore."

"I will give you time to think." Jack said as he kissed her cheek. He was going to go speak to his brothers.

"Would you like to bring some dinner to Auntie C?" She asked Bobbyjack. This way the two boys could play and she could talk to her sister about this sudden new addition, "We can walk over when you're both finished."

Cecille poured herself a small glass of whiskey and drew a hot bath. She slipped in slowly and sighed. Her mind wandered, she didn't understand why Forrest was doing this now, out no where. She couldn't seem to shake her initial idea that he had or met another woman. Cecille felt her thin hips and frowned, Forrest was right she didn't have much, just enough to care for Lilah but she didn't want to accept anyway of his money or help for herself, only Lilah.

Forrest nodded, "of course you can."

Cecille heard the front door open nd assumedcorrectly that it was her sister.

"We'll just have to walk over and let Mama know later." He added with a smile, "Does Mama have food at home baby?" Forrest asked, even though he knew he shouldn't be asking his innocent daughter about her mother.

Cecille smiled weakly as she opened the door and let them in. She made a face when she noticed the second child but waited until the children were playing in Lilah's room to ask any questions.

"A little bit." Lilah answered, "mama doesnt eat much."

Sara explained and Cecille looked shocked.

"She just gave her son away?"

"We'll have to fix that, won't we?" Forrest teased as he planted kisses on her and put her down.

"Uncle Howieeee!" Lilah smiled as she ran into the station.

Sara nodded, "Basically."

"What a horrid woman." Cecille said.

"I dont know what to think. I didnt know about her. He is only a bit older than Bobby. I just...i find myself jealous. Wondering how much he loved her...."

Howard grabbed hia niece and grinned.

"Oh sweetie, I'm sure he didn't love her a bit." Cecille put her arm around her sister, "You're a wonderful wife for dealing with this."

He tickled her and laughed before asking, "C?"

Forrest just shook his head.

Sara sighed, "and that poor baby. How do i explain this bullshit to him?"

Jack stumbled through the door, "shine. Please." He muttere as he sat down.

Cecille sighed, "Ah I can't even imagine. Forrest and I haven't even explained anything to Lilah yet, she just thinks Daddy is keeping Uncle Howie company. Children are smart though, they know when something isn't right."

Forrest nodded as he poured them all large glasses. Lilah settled playing with her dolls in the corner while dinner finished roasting.

"You okay?" Howie asked.

Sara sighed, "how is thst going?"

Jack took a deep gulp, "i have two kids. And they are the same age."

"He comes to see her every day. He's constantly offering money but I'll only accept enough to help me care for Lilah." Cecille sighed, "I'm sad and he seems angry."

Forrest choked on his drink, "WHAT?"

Sara sighed, "He misses you."

Jack gulped, "another boy. He looks identical to me. That stupid whore i was fucking before i met sara."

"I miss him too. I miss the three of us being a family." She wiped a tear before straightening up, "But this is what he wanted."

"And she's just telling you now?" Howie said surprised.

Jack nodded, "Just dropped him off at my home."

"No." Sara disagreed softly.

Jack nodded. Took another gulp, "said she couldnt handle him anymore."

Howie grabbed the glass of shine from Jack, "You better slow down. Sara will be pissed if you show up drunk after this."

"I won't take his help, Sara. For Lilah fine but not for me." Cecille said.

Jack nodded, "You're right." He sighed.

Sara sighed, "well you have no choice but to accept mine."

"Where is this kid?" Forrest asked.

Sara handed her the basket of dinner leftovers.

"Thank you." Cecille said as she picked at the food, "I'll figure something out eventually to make ends meet fully."

"At my house with Sara." Jack sighed, "Well probably at your-..I mean Cecille's house by now. I'm sure Sara went over there."

Sara nodded, "Well...you always have me. You know i dont care to help you out anyway possible."

Forrest nodded and sighed, "well...bring him by soon."

An hour or two later everyone headed back to their homes.

Jack arrived home with flowers from the garden for his wife. He found her sitting at the table, both boys in bed.

"Sara, I am so incredibly sorry." He said as he sat next to her.

Forrest left Lilah with Howie and walked over to let Cecille know she'd be staying the night.

"Lilah is going to spend the night at the station." Forrest said softly when she answered the door.

"Oh okay." Cecille smiled weakly but her face fell.

"I never get to spend the night her, Cecille.." Forrest muttered.

"I know. I'm sorry." She forced a smile, "You know I'd never keep you from her, I'll just miss her tonight is all. Empty house."

Sara had a glass of water in front of her and she swished it around, "i am not upset about him. I am upset for him. And i am oddly jealous of her. I just....I am going to bed." She stood without another word and went to bed.

"You can come back with me...your old room is stilll there. Wont even have to see me." Forrest said softly.

Jack sat at the table with his head in hands. He needed to make this right but he didn't know how

After a long moment she finally spoke softly, "Forrest I can't. It hurts too much."

Finally he went and got into the bed with her. That night he chose just to hold her tightly.
