Dirty Collar

Julianna sighed, "I'm going to go. Clearly I can't take care of any work today looking like this so I'm just going to go home."

"I'll take you..." Tom said, following her out the door.

"This probably isn't the best time for us to be seen together." She said softly as they walked down the book.

"You okay?" Colin asked.

He nodded.

Alex sighed, "I will be."

"I'm really okay, Tom." Julianna said softly, as he still continued to walk with her. She could tell her was really bothered by what happened.

"Why don't we lay back down?" He suggested.

"I just...this is a bad idea."

Alex simply nodded. She felt like death.

Julianna sighed, "Look I don't know about you but I'm exhausted and stressed. I'm going to spend the rest of the day home, watching old movies? Would you like to join me?" She had realized that Tom would find a way to get in and out unseen.

Colin picked her up and carried her back to bed.

Tom grinned, "yes."

He turned on her tv and flipped through til he found his fvorite, Criminal Minds.

Julianna wasn't sure why she wanted to spend time with him, maybe it was his caring nature about last night. But that afternoon she found herself drifting to sleep during Roman Holiday with her head on Tom's shoulder.

He smiled and wrapped his arm around her.

Julianna was suddenly woken by a loud knock on the door, her head had drifted into Tom's lap.

"Crap. David." She said as she shot up.

Tom hurried to gather his coat, "Don't worry." He kissed her cheek goodbye, "I'll head out through the back room's fire escape. You text me if he touches you again, I don't care what Alex said." Julianna nodded and had a weird feeling that she'd miss him when he wasn't there, little did she know he planned on staying outside for a while and making sure things went smoothly.

"You knocked.." Julianna said as she opened the door to see David with a small box and a bundle of roses.

"Of course." David kissed her quickly as he walked in, "I'm sorry about losing my temper, my love."

She sighed as she accepted the gifts and noted that he had his brief case in the other hand, "You're forgiven.."

Colin held Alex as she stirred, "When's your next doctors appointment?" He asked.

David grinned.

"This is beautiful." She said weakly as she opened the box her had handed her and looked at the necklace. From outside Tom felt a bit of fire in the pit of his stomach.

"I'd really like to go.." Colin smiled.

David nodded, "im pleased that you like it."

Julianna had an eery feeling they aware being watched.

"Can we spent the night at your place?" She asked.

Colin sighed, "How long do you think this Keller thing will take?"

David shrugged, "it would be ideal. I have a business transaction close to the house
early in the mornig.".

"Hopefully not too long." Alex responded with a shrug. She didnt plan on letting it go a month or two before she killed the bastard.

"Let's go there then." Julianna suggested.

"Why are you in such a rush? Who was here?" David raised an eyebrow.

"No one darling!" She faked, she hugged him and felt sick to her stomach, "This place has just been creeping me out lately. Please don't get upset." She thought she'd be sick, snugging up to this jerk but knew he relished her submission.
