The Shines' Got Em Now *Lawless*

"I had sex with Forrest last night." Cecille explained, "He came to apologize and I ended going to his room after. Uninvited."

Sara nodded, "Jack slept in my bed. No sex."

She smiled, "you like him?"

"I'm falling for him." She blushed.

"Aw so sweet." Cecille smiled as she watched a dish.

"What about Forrest?" Sara asked.

"I like him. I know Howard teases him but I don't mind that he's twelve years older." She answered.

Sara shrugged, "it shouldnt matter. Howie is just jealous."

Cecille nodded.

Jack yawned as he watche his oldest brother making shine.

"How long do you think we'll be able to stay here before Father finds out?" Cecille asked.

"You spent the night with Cecille?" Jack asked.

"Yes." Forrest muttered, "She came to my room. I'm sorry again about hitting you last night."

Sara looked upset about the possibility, "I feel like it will be soon. Maybe twoao or 3 months."

Jack shrugged, "i am sure you will make it up to me."

She nodded, "Forrest was telling me yesterday how they would do anything for us. They'll keep us safe. But it might cost Father his life. You saw what Forrest did to those guys that tried to screw him on that deal."

"I'm sure I will." Forrest handed him a small glass of moonshine to see if it was ready. They tapped glasses and tasted it.

Sara shrugged, "i hope he does come here then." She said this with no remorse or emotion.

They both nodded and took another small cup.

Cecille nodded as well, "I agree. I used to be frightened he would find us. But now that we're here I know we're safe. Also, I haven't told Forrest about Dominic and I don't plan on it. I just wanted to give you the heads up."

"I feel strange now." Forrest mumbled to his brother, "That Cecille was in my bed last night and working for me today. It doesn't feel right, feels like I'm disrespecting the lady or something."

Sara nodded, "I had wondered. I dont blame you. Jack knows all of my past. He is my best friend, Cel."



Jack sat and stretched out, "I dont think you noticed but from day 1, this has become their home. They run pretty much everything. Everyone in town calls them the Bondurrant women."

"That's wonderful." Cecille said. "Who would have thought stumbling here would lead to all this?"

Forrest thought for a moment, "When you put it that way it doesn't sound so bad. I don't think she ever really thought of me as her boss."

Sara smiled sadly. When they left, she'd been beaten so badly she lost consiousness. If it hadnt been for her sister she would hve never made it away from her father.



Jack smiled, "you overanalyze everything."

Cecille looked at her as well, she felt the same way about her sister and accredited Sara for saving her from Dominic. Really the sisters were each others life lines.

"I know." Forrest chuckled and took another sip of shine. "Bad habit. Ya know Cecille actually asked me if I was just going to stare at her forever last night?"

They shared a smile and Sara starte to make chicken and dumplings.

"I would do anything for her." Jack said softly.

"Am I making a mistake getting involved with Forest?" Cecille asked suddenly, "he hasn't even said a word about how he feels for me." This was typical of Cecille, men made her uncomfortable usually and though she was citing Forrest's lack of expression, that was her problem as well.



"I know." Forrest said, "I've noticed your bond for the past weeks."

"We're two lucky men." Jack said.

"We are." Forrest nodded.

Sara shook her head, "he likes you. You know he just tries to hide his feelings."

Jack sighed, "any new business news?"

"Yes, you're right." Cecille smiled slightly, "It's not like I'm great at expressing myself either. I nearly made a fool of myself last night! I don't know what I was thinking, I showed up in his room in nothing but a robe!"

Forrest nodded, "All the usual orders this week, plus a few new ones from West Virginia and Delaware. We're starting to get interest from the cities too, I think we can expect orders from the city in a few weeks."

Sara smirked, "what would the preacher man say?"



Jack nodded, "well...although i would say we have our work cut out for us, lets take a short break?"

Forrest nodded and ushered him out the door, "Got to let the booze sit for a while anyway."

Cecille laughed with her sister and blushed when Forrest and Jack walked into the kitchen.

Jack grinned at Sara, "cmon!" He said beforee leading her up to his room.

Forrest smiled, "so...id really like to talk about last night."

"Whaaat?" Sara laughed.

"Oh." Cecille said, as he came behind her and put his hands around her waist. Forrest could sense her nervousness and tension as she said, "That's probably a good idea."

"I missssed you!" He smiled bwfore kissing her.



"Oh. I want it to happen again. Often." Forrest laughed.

"I missed you too." She said in between kisses.

"Don't laugh at me!" Cecille giggled as she leaned back and relaxed into him "You had me nervous! But yes, I think I could live with that. I'm still shocked at myself for being so brazen last night!"

Jack smiled, "you are simply amazing."

"So are you." She blushed.

Cecille turned in his arms to face him, "Apparently." She winked, then she put her hand on his chest, "Can I steal you away from work for a little bit?" She nodded towards the stairs.
