Somebody That I Used to Know *Bam/Johnny fic*

"Pretty sure you more than owe me." She giggled.

"I think this trip might make it easy."

"Maybe." She smirked, "Now feed me! I'm starved. "

Bam smiled at her. She kind of loved that smile.

Johnny wrapped his arms around Brie, "You're so beautiful."

"Room service?" He asked, "I could use a quick break from the sun."

Brie blushed and kissed his cheek. She was still feeling uneasy.

She nodded at him and they two ventured to the hotel and their room.

"Just going to change out of my bathing suit." She smiled.

"Can I watch?"

"If you want." She winked and went into her room.

He was sure if she was serious so he sat down and the couch and ordered the food.

Grace wasn't even sure if she was serious or not. But the past week she'd become increasingly aware of the butterflies she was getting around her boss. She walked back into the room, "Anything you need me to take care of back home today?"

"You're not working these two weeks, Grace." Bam said.

She was a little shocked, "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah sorry. Should have made that more clear this is just a vacation for you, not a working vacation." Bam said.

She grinned. She couldn't help but hug him when she reached the living room. This "new" Bam was awesome.

Lunch came and they ate heartily. They also drank one too many cocktails with it.

In his intoxicated state, Bam couldn't seem to stop himself fro hitting on Grace.

Johnny and Brie argued the whole way back to the hotel

Four Months Later....

Bam and Grace were at a photo shoot. Bam was flirting with the photographer's assistant.

Brie slipped Johnny's ring off again, "Here." She said softly. He looked at her.

"What?"

Grace glared at them. Bam had been flirting with her for months since the trip but hadn't made a move. She found herself becoming increasing jealous of the women he was with.

"Everything okay?' Bam just as he walked over.

"Just fine." She shrugged.

"Take it back." Brie said softly.

"We're almost finished up here." He told her sweetly.

Johnny was confused. He'd simply been sitting on the couch reading a magazine when she walked up.

"Why?" He asked.

"I know you're dense, Johnny. But just take your fucking ring. You don't want to marry me. You're using me to get your daughter. I was okay with it at first. She needs to be with you. But you are fucking with my heart. I am done."

"Okay." Grace said as her cellphone rang. "You have to be fucking kidding me." She said when she hung up.

"What's wrong?" Bam asked.

"My complex went on fire." She sighed, "Everyone is fine but our building is destroyed. So I'm fucking homeless."

"But I do love you..." Johnny said.

"But you're not IN love with me."

Bam shrugged, "You're my friend. You're never homeless."

She laughed, semi-hysterically, "I will NOT live in your house."

Johnny just looked at her sadly. Finally he held his hand out.

"The way I see it you don't have many options." Bam shrugged.

"I don't think it's a good idea." Grace said.

She took his hand but didn't say a word. It was about damned time he told her how he felt.

"Don't be dumb. You're at my house all kinds of crazy hours of the week anyway."

Johnny kissed her hand, "I'm sorry. I don't deserve you." He said softly.

"Fine. Whatever." Grace sighed, "I guess it's what is easiest."

Brie took her hand away, that wasn't what she had wanted to hear. "I'm going to start packing my stuff."

Bam smiled.

They walked into Bam's house.

"Pick whatever room you want." Bam shrugged, "By the way, sorry if I pissed you off earlier with the assistant."

Grace tried to play it cool, "Don't know what you're talking about."

Brie's heart felt empty. Why couldn't he just love her?
