Love the Way You Lie

Dominic woke up, startled, as his girlfriend shoved his arm away from her.

"What the fuck?" He grumbled. She stared at him angrily, tears shining in her eyes. Jessica pointed at his hand. He glanced at it. A woman, Cindy, had written her name and number on his hand.

"I'm leaving you." She snapped. She whirled around, her brown hair flying and started throwing her things in a bag. Dominic rolled his eyes and laid his head back on the pillow.

Jessica opened the bedroom door and suddenly, Dominic was there.

"Where are you going?" He snapped.

"I told you already. I am leaving you." She shouted angrily. Her blue eyes showed so many emotions he looked away.

"No you ain't." Dominic replied as he grabbed her arm. Jessica shoved him as hard as she could but his grip on her arm was too strong. She glared at him, tears finally spilling over and pulled her hand back in a fist. When her fist connected with his face, he let go. He shoved her against the wall, his left arm held her down. The next thing Jessica knew, his fist was through the wall, to the left of her head.

"Get the fuck away!" She sobbed as she shoved him away. This time, he let her push him away. She went into the bathroom and locked the door. Dominic knew she was leaving this time.

Two years later...

Jessica Walters walked onto the red carpet and smiled. She waved and signed autographs as she made her enterance. She looked up and caught sight of Dominic. He was the man who'd stolen her heart and then shattered it into a million pieces.

Jess turned to her date, Gerard Butler, "He isn't supposed to be here!" Then she turned to her best friend, Orlando Bloom, looking panicked

"You're fucking high." Ryan yelled at Roxy. She twirled a piece of pink hair in her finger and closed the door to their apartment.

"So are you." Roxy smirked, she went to kiss him.

"Fuck off." Ryan pushed her away. They both just got home from a long night out and back to their east village apartment. "You're a mess."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Roxy was pissed, "You use just as much as I do and you deal!"

"We'll avoid him." Orlando said calmly after a moment.

Ryan shoved her away from him, "Shut the fuck up!"

"Let's go inside." Gerard said. The two men took either side of Jess and entered the theater. Dominic was seated close to them. Jess could see his face.

"Don't touch me." Roxy slapped him.

He pushed her against the wall, "Do not hit me." He snapped.

"Fuck you." She spat and tried to shove him away, failing to move his tattooed arms which were holding her.

Jess tried not to look but it was hard. Gerard took her hand and smiled kindly at her.

"Get off me." Roxy snapped, her high was quickly leaving as her panic set in.

Orlando leaned over and kissed her cheek, "Baby, it's okay. You don't have to talk to him." Jess glanced at Dominic and realized that he'd seen the peck on the cheek.

"Shit...Land...I can't do this." She started to say. Just then, the theater lights dimmed and the movie began.

Ryan threw her on the couch, "There." He shrugged.

"I hate you." Roxy yelled.

"Do you want to leave?" Gerard whispered.

Suddenly, Ryan was on top of her. His knee dug into her chest.

Jess faked a smile, "I'll be fine." Gerard knew very little of what had gone on between her and Dominic.

Forty-five minutes into the movie, Jess and Orlando were on screen again. Jess watched as the bigger-than-life version of herself pulled off Orlando's clothing. The scene portrayed them as a lust-filled couple.

Jess looked towards Dominic as the scene got even more heated. He was visibly upset. Suddenly he stood up and walked out. Jess couldn't help but follow.

"Excuse me." She muttered over and over.

He laughed slightly. "Get off me." She muttered. Instead he kissed her.

Dominic kept walking, he didn't realize she was behind him.

"Get off me!" She snapped.

Dominic walked into the men's restroom. Jess paused and then followed him in.

"Nic." She said softly. He turned around to face her.

"So you and Orlando really are together now?" He asked jealously.

"No."

"I quit the drugs,Jessie. I quit it all for you." Dominic said suddenly.

"I don't think so." He laughed grabbing her hands which were trying to hit his face.

"You're disgusting." Roxy spit in his face.

Jessica sighed, "I don't know what to say."

He punched her in the face.

Dominic sighed, "Jessie, I love you. I know I fucked up. Okay? I know I did. That's why I got help. I wish I hadn't lost you."

Jess shook her head, "Nic....I love you too. But it's too late." For some reason, although she said this, she locked the bathroom door. She walked toward him and put her arms around him. He kissed her gently and she kissed him back. Dom pushed her against the wall, but gently. She wasn't scared of him anymore.

"I love you." He muttered as he ran his hands underneath her dress. She was wearing a long dress. It was tight and she hadn't been able to wear panties.

"God RYAN!" She cried as she held her face.

"I love you too." Jessica whispered as she felt sparks when he touched her skin.

She lifted her leg and kneed him.

He picked her up, leaning her against the wall and pulled her dress up. She fumbled with his pants.

"Bitch." He snapped as she got up and ran towards the bathroom door.

"I need you..." Jessica breathed.

She managed to get in and lock the door. She knew that this would only buy her a few minutes.

Finally, he was able to enter her. She moaned into his ear and he sighed. Her fingernails dug into his back, through his shirt. Dominic could tell she was about to orgasm and it made his come even quicker.

"Oh God. Nic." She muttered. He bit into her shoulder and she moaned at the pain.

"ROXY!" He banged on the door. "Let me the fuck in."

"NO!" Roxy yelled. A few minutes later he got the door open, "I'm DONE! I'm leaving you." Roxy shouted.

Dom stroked her face gently, "I've missed you."

He slapped her, "No, you arent."

She pulled away from him and went to the mirror, "I missed you." She muttered. She looked at her shoulder and sighed. There would be no hiding that from Gerard. She pulled her blackberry out of her small purse and texted Orlando.

I need your jacket. Tell Gerard that I am sick. Men's bathroom.

Dom sighed, "What does this mean?"

Jessie turned and looked at him, "It means we fucked. I love you. And I always will. But you are not forgiven."

"Yes, I am." Roxy headed for the door quickly. She had to get out, she needed help, and to get away from Ryan.

"I've changed!" Dominic said.

For once, she managed to get out the door. Ryan started to force her back into the room but a neighbor was walking by.

Jessie rolled her eyes and fixed her lipstick and hair, "Whatever. You say that now. Next thing I know you'll be breaking a beer over Lando's head...or hurting me." She added the last part quietly.

Dom sighed, "Jessie, I swear I will never do that again. I was fucking high and drunk our entire relationship!"

Jessie bit her lip, "Well, Nic, I was sober. The whole time. So. Yeah." She heard Orlando's knock at the door and she quickly unlocked he door. Orlando immediatley noticed her shoulder.

"Wh- Did he fucking-" Jessie cut Orlando off.

"I'm fine." She said before she turned to Dominic, "Bye." She didn't realize that she'd left her purse on the counter. She clutched her cell phone in her hand and put of Orlando's jacket. They left the theater and headed towards the large house they shared.

He was an elderly man. "Let me walk you downstairs." He said smoothly. Ryan couldn't say a word, he was also still high from the coke. Roxy let the older man bring her downstairs to the street and thanked him.

Roxy immediately dialed her sister's number as she walked down the street away from the apartment, "Jess. I need help. You're right. I need help." She cried.

Jess sighed, "Fine. Just go to the airport. Everything else will be taken care of."

The Next Day:

Dominic yawned as he walked into the cafe near his home. He ordered a coffee and a blueberry muffin. Dom looked down at his hand and noticed that there was writing on it. 555-4290 <3 Jessie

He dialed the number and was surprised when she actually picked up, "Uhm...hi?"

"Nic. I wondered how long it would take you to see that. Thanks a fucking lot, by the way. Now I HAVE to wear shirts with sleeves. Where the fuck are you?" Jess ranted.

"I am at a cafe." He said softly.

"Just talk to me. I need to hear your voice." Jess said softly. Now that she'd seen him again, she couldn't get enough. Dominic rambled on about everything that had happened in the last two years. Suddenly he felt a hand take his. Jess had found him.

"Jess." He muttered. She kissed him and sighed, "What does this mean?"

Jess shrugged, "Nothing. Lando is busy doing some commercial thing today.Roxy is at my house. I had to get out. And I came here."

Dominic looked confused, "Jessie...I've really changed...I want us to try and-"

She cut him off, "Nic....don't ask me to be with you. The answer won't be what you want. Help me go shopping. Roxy needs clothes. I didn't want to go by myself."

"Fine. I'll do anything to prove to you that I've changed." He replied. Jess took a bite of his muffin and he smiled slightly.

"So I'll pick you up and we'll go shopping." Jessica said.

"Roxy isn't coming?" Dom asked.

"She's not in good shape right now." Jess sighed.

"HELLO!" Orlando called as he walked into Jessica's house, his commercial shot had been canceled.

"What the fuc-" Roxy stopped when she saw Orlando, she was in a pair of boxers and small t-shirt. "Oh you're here for Jess. She's out."

"Good lord, Roxy what the fuck happened to you?!" Orlando said, as he surveyed her bruised face and body. He had only met Roxy once before

"It's been a rough year." Roxy shrugged and sipped her coffee.

Dom frowned, "Meaning?"

"You two are perfect for each other. Two cokeheads. Except she was being beaten." Jess replied. Dom stopped walking and pulled her close.

"Baby, I will never hurt you again. I am different." Dom whispered.

Orlando poured a cup of coffee and sat down.

"We'll see." She sighed.

"That boyfriend do that to you?" Orlando asked, Jessica had told him about him.

Roxy just nodded, "We had an unhealthy relationship."

"Clearly." He raised an eyebrow.

"I don't need a lecture from you too." She muttered.

Jess rested her head on his shoulder for a moment. She sighed. Everything in her was begging to take him back. But she was too scared too. Dominic kissed her cheek.

Orlando shrugged, "I am not giving you a lecture. I sat by and watched my junkie ex-bestfriend treat your sister like shit for a year. Until he broke a fucking beer bottle on my head. Jerkoff."

Roxy laughed slightly, "What?"
