Running From You

Chad Michael Murray took a few deep breaths as he slowed his pace from running to walking. His wolf mix, Joe, looked at him with a somewhat what questioning look.

"We're almost to the trailer." Chad muttered. He ruffled the hair on his dog's head and sighed. They were on set for his new movie. A thriller called A Haunting in Georgia.

A loud, shrill heart-stopping scream caused Joe to bark and for Chad to almost jump out of his skin. Heather Bennet, his co-star, was filming one of the scenes he wasn't involved in. Chad led his dog in to his trailer and tried to get comfortable on the bed.

Heather took a break from filming and took a swig from her water bottle.

"That was great, Heather." Elsie muttered as she cut a few threads from Heather's shirt. Chad, her older brother, got her the wardrobe job on set. Her son's father, Tim hadn't been helping the small family out at all and Elsie refused to accept anymore handouts from her brother, so getting her a new well paying job was the next best thing. Plus Elsie finally got to use her fashion design degree now.

James sipped his coffee and watched from the corner then got up, "Here El." He handed her a hazelnut latte.

"But I want to see uncky Chad and his puppy!!" Christian, Elsie's four year old son exclaimed as he opened his uncle's trailer door.

"Sorry!" The assistant that had been watching him said, "He's a very determined little man!"

Heather smiled over at Elsie and James. Heather had gotten to know Elsie over the past few months and knew that she deserved a good man.

Chad looked at the assistant a bit reproachfully, "He can see me anytime he wants. I'll watch him. Just tell my sister. C'mere Christian."

"Family dinner at my place tonight." Heather said to the pair, "Bring Christian." They had all become a little family on set.

Chad kissed Christian's head, "Want to visit mommy?"

Elsie nodded and smiled. The director called for Heather to get back on set. She sighed and then grinned before she walked over there.

"Okay, no screaming for right now. We're going to do the actual acting." He told her as she reached him. Heather nodded. At that point in time, she was one of Hollywood's most loved "Scream Queens". The horror movie they were shooting was about the supernatural attacking a family.

"Yes!" Christian exclaimed. Chad grinned. He waited until they were out of the traiiler, leaving the dog behind, to put Christian on his shoulders.

"Mommy!" Christian burst onto the set room and hugged his mother.

"Shhh.." She laughed softly as she kissed his forehead.

Chad kissed his sisters cheek and then walked over to watch the filming. He sat down in Heather's chair and stared at her. She was an amazing actress and she earned a celeb crush from him. He played her boyfriend in the film.

James grinned at Christian, "Hey."

Christian went into a long winded story about playing with Chad's dog. As Elsie spoke she smiled. She hadn't noticed how good James was with Christian before.

Heather finished the scene and it was perfected after three takes.

"Finished for the day!" The director told her. She nodded and walked over toward Chad.

"Hey Heather." He smiled.

James nodded and kept Christian talking, "Do you want to go to the park? Let's ask Mommy."

"Hey Chad!" She smiled, "Dinner at my place tonight!"

"Mommy mommy mommy!" Christian exclaimed, "Can James take me to the park?!"

She smiled slightly, "I'm sure James is busy dear..."

James shook his head, "If it's alright with you, I'll take the little man. Finish up here so you can meet us at Heather's." He smiled.

He nodded, "Should I bring anything?"

"Just yourself." She winked at him. Chad stood up and stretched. The hem of his shirt raised just enough to show off his skin. Heather could feel herself drool a little.

Elsie thought about it for a moment, "Okay. But don't ruin his appetite and give him ice cream or anything."

Chad glanced at her quickly and smirked slightly.

"Yes ma'am." James smiled, "See you in a little bit."

"Be good for James!" Elsie said.

"Is Jeremy going to be there?" Chad couldn't keep the contempt out of his voice.

Elsie walked over at that moment and noticed Heather roll her eyes at the mention of James's name.

Heather just nodded, "He's in town."

"You ought to just break up with him." Chad muttered.

"What?" Heather asked.

Chad faked a smile, "Nothing. Can't wait to eat whatever you are making."

"Any request?" She asked sweetly.

Chad grinned, "Some of those amazing enchiladas?"

"Okay! Done." She hugged Elsie and winked at Chad before going to her trailer. She was getting ready to go home when Elsie entered her trailer.

"What is Jeremy going to say?" Elsie asked softly.

"I will deal with that later." She sighed.

Her cell phone rang. It was Jeremy. She ignored the call and smiled at her friend.

"I'll see you later."

Later they gathered in her kitchen.

"Mommy it was so fun!" Christian ran in with James.

Jeremy sat on a bar stool, glaring at Chad, and drinking a glass of scotch. Chad was doing the same thing except he was drinking beer.

Elise, James and Heather were ignoring the hostility between the two.

"Wine?" James asked Elsie.

She nodded and he poured them all a small glass.

"Thanks for taking Christjan." she smiled.

Heather turned her attention to Jeremy and Chad when she heard Chad say, "You do NOT deserve to be with Heather."
