Thrill of Speed

"I'm just reminding you who brought you here!" Jax growled.

"You think you're so high and mighty!" Delilah snapped.

"I'm Jackson Teller." Was all he had to say through gritted teeth.

"Well, that doesn't mean shit to me." She shouted.

"Why don't you go back to your fucking dad?" He said coldly. He knew he'd crossed a line but he could care less.

Delilah shoved him HARD but he barely moved. "Fuck you Jax"

"Been there. Done that. Only took about fifteen minutes of effort." He snapped.

Without thinking, she slapped.

She saw the rage in his eyes when he grabbed her. He held her arms at the side of her body.

"No more drugs." He said through gritted teeth.

"No." Delilah breathed.

"Wanna be an old lady? Then act like one, do what you are fucking told!" Jax yelled.

She looked at him. "Take your fucking hands off me." Delilah pushed away his hands, grabbed her pillow, and walked out of their bedroom to the couch slamming the door behind her.

"GOD FUCKING DAMNIT." Jax yelled as he punched the wall.

Delilah was shaking in anger as she sat on the couch.

Neither of them slept a wink that night. Delilah didn't go back to bed and Jax didn't go to get her. He walked into the kitchen in the morning to see her sitting at the table drinking her coffee.

He refused to apologize.

When Natalie woke up, Opie had already left and gone to work at the shop.

"I love you..." Delilah whispered after they sat in silence for twenty minutes. She was still mad as hell, but she also felt uneasy with Jax not speaking to her.

Natalie looked at the calendar on her phone. What a minute? When was the last time she got her period?

"I love you too. I have to go now." He said shortly. He kissed her cheek and promptly walked out the door.

She realized that she was a week late, "Oh shit...." She muttered.

"Rough night?" Opie asked. He and Jackson had been working on a car for thirty minutes and he hadn't stopped yawning.

"Yes." Jax growled and said low, "All this Clay bullshit and then Del and I got into a huge fight last night."

Natalie grabbed her keys and drove three towns over to buy a pregnancy test. She couldn't let anyone she knew see her.

Delilah sighed as she walked into the bedroom. She began picking up Jax's dirty clothes to do laundry.

Opie frowned at his friend, "I can take care of the car alone if you want to go take a nap."

She got home and took it. She was scared to look at it.

She went through his pockets before depositing them into the washer.

Jax just nodded and sulked into the break room to lie down.

It read positive.

Delilah wandered the house for a minute or two more.

"Fuck it." She said as she grabbed her keys. She and Jackson had to talk, she didn't like dancing around this bullshit. Delilah pulled up to the repair shop and walked inside.

"He's in the back room." Opie said without even looking up.

"Thanks." She muttered. She walked into the room to find Jax laying on the couch staring at the ceiling. "We need to talk."

"Fuck..." She muttered. She quickly hid the test when she heard the front door open.

"Nat! It's Gemma." Natalie let out a breath of relief. She walked out of the bathroom and smiled weakly.

"Hungry?"

He nodded, "Look...this isn't normal for me. But I'm sorry. I said a few uncalled for things."

"Starved!" She said.

Delilah nodded and joined him on the couch, "I'm sorry I pushed your buttons and didn't take you seriously." She paused, "What you said...about living there. I don't have to Jax. I knew you less than a week before I got dumped on you. I can move out if you want space."

He shook his head, "You didn't get dumped on me. And no. I was just being a dick. I need to know you're safe every night."

Natalie made them both food. It wasn't long before she spilled the beans to Gemma.

"Opie's the father." Gemma concluded. Natalie nodded, "This can NOT get back to Clay."

She smiled at him, "That means a lot to me."

Gemma nodded, "Any idea how far along you are?"

She paused for a minute then spoke slowly, "Jax..I have to ask because I know how things are in this club and now that you and I are serious..Two months ago when I said no other girls..Have you been true to that? Please don't lie to me." Having said I love you made Delilah feel vunerable and when Jax referred to her as his old lady, it got her mind rolling.

"6 weeks at the most."

Jax couldn't help but smile, "I'm going to tell you this one time and that's it. You are the ONLY girl that I have EVER been faithful to."

"Are you going to tell Op?" She sighed.

Delilah nodded, "I'll lay off the coke."

Natalie smiled, "Yes."

"Thank you." Jax said softly. He motioned her over.

"Just make sure Clay eventually hears it from you first." Gemma smiled.

Delilah walked over to him as he requested.

"Dad will murder him." Natalie frowned.

"Take a nap with me?" He asked sweetly.

"It will be much worse if he hears it from someone else." Gemma said.

"I didn't sleep last night either." She said as she joined him on the couch.

He wrapped and arm around her and kissed her hair, "I love you."
