Smoke and Blood

Adul placed a hand on her jaw and smiled.

"Emilie!" Channing yelled as he jogged toward Dean and Emilie.

Jadyn continued, "Thank you for being so understanding." She could feel his strength but his touch was not hard.

"Yes?" She turned to him.

To this Adul replied, "I'm only understanding because I know you'll make up for it."

"Isn't their any way you can get rid of that Adul guy?"

Jadyn sighed and they entered her bedroom.

Emilie sighed, "Jadyn says she wants him here."

Adul smirked, knowing she'd do whatever he told her to do.

"But I don't." Channing muttered.

He sat on the bed and took her hand, "Come my darling. Make love to me." Jadyn felt sick to her stomach.

Emilie sighed, "It's not your choice unfortunately."

Jadyn's face went blank as she walked to him.

"You think?" Channing snapped, "It sure as HELL shouldn't be his choice. We're the damned army and we can't make up some excuse to make him fucking leave?"

As Emilie reasoned with Channing, Adul had his way with Jadyn. Luckily for Jadyn he had a familial commitment and could not stay long. Afterwards while Channing saw Adul leaving, Jadyn stayed in her room looking at her body. He certainly had been annoyed about having to wait, he was overly rough and aggressive leaving a few bruises and marks on her body. Emilie had eventually agreed with Channing, especially after he explained in detail to the situation. She understood Jadyn needed Adul's families' money but they'd have to figure something out because Adul would no longer be allowed to come around.

"You're no longer welcome here." Tatum said as he approached Adul.

Adul laughed, "Says who?"

Emilie came out of no where, "I do."

"Maybe Jadyn didn't make this clear. I will ALWAYS be welcome here." Adul snapped. Jadyn threw on clothes when she heard the discussion through her open window.

Emilie smiled back, "You're wrong. This decision has nothing to do with her. When we leave, then you can come back. We'll be here for a while."

Jadyn came running out. "Emilie, I'm not sure what Channing told you but everything is fine."

Emilie glanced at Jadyn and rolled her eyes, "Perhaps you should listen to what I'm saying. This has nothing to do with you. It really has to do with the safety of my men."

"My family donates heavily to this orphanage." Adul added.

Jadyn was furious, she didn't know how they'd survive without Adul's family's donations. "I don't think you understand what you're doing! The children need that money!" This she said directly to Channing.

Emilie shrugged, "I'll donate more then." Emilie had a few hundred thousand dollars in a safe and Dean had millions.

Jadyn looked defeated and sighed. "Come on..." Channing led her away.

"Emilie better be good for that money. I can't keep this place running without it." Jadyn snapped, "If she's not I swear to god I'll kill you."

Emilie smiled at Dean, "So...how much are you going to donate?"

He laughed, "As much as it'll take to get you to forgive me."

Channing shrugged, "i'm sure she's got it. And I really don't care as long as that bastard can't come here."

"Jadyn will be happy then." Emilie teased.

"Lovely, Channing you do not care if fifty innocent children are on the streets as long as you get to satisfy your urge to act like a jealous boyfriend." She growled.

Channing took her gently and lifted her arm looking at the fingerprint sized bruises, "I'm guessing someone likes it rough?" He mocked, examining the bruises on her shoulder as well. He wasn't usually rude like this but Adul made him furious and so did Jadyn's excuses for why it was okay for him to be around.

Jadyn pulled away quickly, "You're an asshole." Before he could pull up her shirt and see the two hand sized bruises on her torso, from being grabbed. She could feel them swelling and getting purple.

Dean pulled her to him gently, "So, how much will it take for you to marry me?"

"Four million dollars." Emilie said softly as she looked in his eyes.

"Easily done." He said before kissing her.

Tatum stared at her, "I hate that man."

"Do you really want to get married?" Emilie asked softly.

"I hate you!" Jadyn turned to walk away from him.

"No, you don't." Channing softly grabbed her by the waist to keep her from leaving. He was taken aback when she whimpered in pain. He let go of her immediately and slowly lifted her shirt. Channing looked at her then the purple swollen welts then back at her. Jadyn said nothing waiting for him to speak.

Dean smiled at her, "Yes. And I want you to come back with me."

Emilie sighed, "I can't leave until my tour is up."

"You are going to sit there and argue with me about him leaving when he did this?" Tatum said softly.

"I will stay here then." Dean stated.

Suddenly Jadyn burst into tears and shook her head. She sobbed into Channing's chest and mumbled, "I hate him so much and these bruises really really hurt."

Emilie smiled slightly, "That would make me happy."

He wrapped his arms around her, gently, and sighed.

Dean kissed her softly, "Great."

It was almost pitch black outside now and Channing lifted her into his arms and said softly, "Lets put some ice on those bruises." Ten minutes later after getting ice from the army med Channing laid her down on her bed and pulled her shirt up a little. She whimpered before the ice even touched her skin. He chuckled slightly, "Shhh it won't hurt." He placed the ice against her bruised torso.

"I love you so much, Em...I actually brought you a ring...Just in case." He was smiling as he pulled a velvet box from his pocket, "I know you can't wear it so I also got you a necklace to put it on."
