Trapped in His Tartan *Scottish Fic*

Aralyn and Elsa sighed as they looked around the gardens. Court in Scotland was a new concept, as King James was trying to get allies, to form one Scotland. Many clans were here, some to pledge allegiance, others simply to consider it. They had been at court for two months and tomorrow they would leave to return home.

"Only one more day." Aralyn smiled slightly.

Elsa sighed, "Yes. I'm ready to leave. It's too much work being here. All these people all the time."

Aralyn nodded, "Home will be peaceful."

At that point two handsome men walked up to the girls. They recognized their tartan immediately, they were brothers from the North.

Aralyn glowered at the two handsome men.

Colin grinned. He liked the feisty little brunette with heart-stopping green eyes, "Miss Aralyn. How are you this fine morning?"

Elsa took it upon herself to speak for her cousin, "She's fine." Aralyn flashed a grin at Elsa.

"And you lassie?" Sebastian asked, the girls looked similar, only Elsa had dark almost black eyes.

"Just fine as well." Elsa said simply. "I don't believe we've met you gentlemen before."

The men exchanged looks, they were used to women batting their eyelashes and being flushed at their attention. These two girls could care less.

Colin smirked slightly, "Well, we've been watching you."

Aralyn scoffed, "Aye. Well, be that as it may, we must be getting along. I think I heard Athair calling."

"Me too." Elsa agreed, she took her "sister's" arm. "Good day." They pair walked away.

"What the..." Sebastian muttered.

Colin frowned, "Did that really happen?"

Sebastian looked at his brother and sighed, "We ought to teach those hens a lesson."

Colin thought for a second, "Tis high time we be taking wives."

Sebastian nodded slowly, "They are two of the bonniest lasses I've ever seen. And they'll be on the road tomorrow."

"Let us do what our grandfathers did then." Colin said, referring to the Highland custom of bride stealing. Though not practiced as frequently anymore, it still did occur.

The two of them returned to their camp to make the plans.

They'd wait for the ladies to be riding home, around court they heard their father would be leaving earlier in the morning so the girls would be slightly behind the group. It'd be easy, they and their clan would quickly surround the pair, each men taking his girl. The hardest part would be keeping them with them during the day it took to travel to their castle.

*The next morning*

Aralyn looked at Elsa, at the same time they heard it. The unmistakable sound of many horses rushing up from behind. Before they could blink they were surrounded by Colin, Sebastian, and their men.

"Do move and let us be on our way." Aralyn said sternly, a little confused.

"You'll be coming with us." Sebastian said as he easily scooped Elsa from her horse onto his, in front of him.

"Take your hands off me." Elsa snapped, her eyes widened at his ability to move her from her horse so easily. Highland men were known for being extremely large, both men were over six feet tall and very broad.

Aralyn had enough warning from watching her "sister" be pulled from her horse to try to fight back. She pulled a small throwing knife from a hidden spot and easily hit Sebastian with it. Colin couldn't help but laugh before he grabbed her.

"Aralyn," He scolded, "this will be much, much easier on you if you do what you are told. If you stab anyone AGAIN, you will regret that action.."

"Wench." Sebastian muttered as he pulled the small knife from his side, "Barely did any harm."

"You're out of your mind." Elsa moved against him to get down but he wrapped a strong arm around her.

"Struggle against me now and you'll just fall from the horse. That won't do you any good." He said sternly.

"What exactly do you two think you're doing?" Aralyn rolled her eyes.

"Stealing our brides of course." Colin boasted.

"You must be joking." Aralyn said.

Aralyn glared at Colin. Well, more at the forest, seeing as he was behind her.

"They are insane." Aralyn muttered to Elsa.

"Clearly." Elsa sighed as Sebastian as lead their horse too far from Aralyn to speak. "Hey!" She elbowed him in the stomach.

"Don't hit me lassie." He said through gritted teeth.

"Don't remove me from my sister's company." Elsa snapped back.

"Where are they going?" Aralyn said quickly.

"Same place as us." Colin muttered, there was only about a quarter mile between the pairs.

"I am tired of your conversations and refuse to listen to them for the rest of the trip." He said softly.

Aralyn scowled, "Catch up!"

Colin rolled his eyes, "No. Don't be such a priss."

"Please." The word sounded forced.

"No."

"Ugh. I'm tired. When will we be there?"

"I don't know even know your name..." Elsa sighed. "Nor why you've stolen me to be your bride..."

"We will rest for the night when the sun goes down and be there by mid morning." Colin answered.

"I'm Sebastian." He said kindly. He didn't want her to hate him or fear him, but he also didn't want her to think she could escape.

"I'm not sleeping near you." Aralyn snapped.

"And why have you taken me Sebastian?" Elsa asked strongly.

"You'll sleep where I tell ye to." Colin grumbled.

"To be my bride." He said simply

Aralyn chuckled, "We'll see about that."

"Try and be stubborn all you'd like. If I have to hog tie you, you'll listen."

"You know what I mean.." She scoffed at his vague answer.

"Look Elsa, I saw you. Thought you were very beautiful but you disrespected me. So ye left me no choice but take you. I had to have you." Sebastian said, he was getting annoyed.

"So you thought absolutely nothing of how I'd feel?" Elsa spat.

"You're a brut." Aralyn muttered

"I don't care much for your feelings." Sebastian said honestly. Afterall, he was a man. What should he care?

Elsa rolled her eyes, "You can't be serious."

Colin shrugged and situated her a little better on his horse, "Rest or something."

She began to speak but he interrupted her, "Something QUIET."

"Have you ever been hit, sweeting? It is clear you need to be kept in line." He snapped.

"Sebastian, if you value your hand you will not raise it against me, else I'll cut it off the first chance I get." Elsa said.

Aralyn sighed. What would she do now?

Sebastian couldn't help but smile. He thought he'd made a very good choice in a wife.

"Tell me a story." She muttered to Colin. He did as he was asked, which surprised her. She was lulled to sleep by his deep, rolling voice.

"I'm tired." Elsa yawned.

"Sleep." Sebastian said.

Soon both girls were asleep.

The brothers took this chance to ride next to each other. They had sent one of their men ahead of them (the day before) to alert their village of the upcoming nuptials.

Elsa began to stir, Sebastian tightened his arms around her so she wouldn't fall.

"I have a man at home you know" She yawned, "He may come for me."
